GoopFinder
Astro Tailwind CSS Branding

GoopFinder is a spec-first gaming headset database built for buyers who know what they want and need to find it fast. The site structures headset data across 40+ filterable fields — driver type, platform compatibility, mic type, surround sound format, connection type, build material, and more — so users can filter by actual hardware specs rather than marketing copy.

Each headset page includes a community census system that pulls tier ratings (S through D) from Reddit, YouTube, RTINGS, and Amazon across audio, comfort, build, mic, and wireless reliability. Headsets are also linked by product line, showing predecessors, successors, and variants (e.g., Nova 5, 5P, 5X) in a single view.

The blog layer supports side-by-side headset comparisons with an embedded comparison tool, pulling live spec data directly from the database. Content follows a strict spec-forward format — short sections, real numbers, no filler.

Built with Astro, TypeScript, and a structured Zod content schema. Ongoing development includes expanding the headset catalog, refining community data collection, and building out guided finder flows for platform-specific and use-case-specific queries.
